Quick update...

It has been weeks since my last update. What can I say? Life has been busy with three kiddos, especially since school started. John Collier is in 1st grade and is doing a great job! Caden is in Kindergarten and is learning so much! Caroline is having good days with MeMaw and PawPaw, her sitters. I am enjoying teaching Math and Science Lab, too. Eric just got done running a job for his boss in Mansfield, and he did a great job!

The boys have been busy after school, as well. John Collier is a Cub Scout, and he, Eric, and Caden just went to their first campout this past weekend. Both boys are also playing flag football for Calvary. They are on the white team and are currently undefeated (3 games down, 3 to go)!!! Wednesdays we eat supper at church and the boys go to their class. Saturdays are for football games and Sundays are busy with church and our weekly visit in Keatchie!

Today, our floor guys are at the house installing the new tile and laminate flooring we bought a few weeks ago...tile in the bathroms and wide-plank, wood-look maple in the kitchen, living room, entry way, and hallway. Woohoo!!! I hate carpet-especially mine. But to add more fun to the day, our plumbing backed up last night...time to clean the lines to the street again. Anyway, the plumber should be there soon. Then I get to go home and clean the garage floor (the washing machine backed up-along with washing all the clothes that were out there) and the bathtubs where it all backed up. YUCK.

Hopefully my family and friends will have a restfull, happy fall! I am so glad it's here! Geaux Tigers! Go Cavs!

Training wheels and shots

We've had an interesting past week or so. Both of the boys learned to ride their bikes without training wheels! Caroline turned 2 months old...and got her 2 month shots. :( She did fine considering we were at the doctor's office for over 2 hours (sub nurses!). We are winding down our summer. It's bittersweet because Caroline will be going to a sitter and we will be kissing our carefree days good-bye. It's exciting because routine is good!!! The boys will both be at school with me, which so simplifies things. I am looking forward to the fall!

Caden did not want to put his bike up (or pose for a picture) after riding for almost 2 hours!
NO problem posing for this one!

After shots...3 band-aids on her little legs :(

Before shots...asleep and naked except for her diaper and bow

Before...sweet smiley girl :)

Sweet Caroline

Yes, this whole post is about our baby girl...we've decided to keep her! ;)
Post bath
With a new 'do courtesy of big brother, Caden. He calls it the "mo-hawnk."

Caroline and her stylist

She did this pose in her bed today...dreaming of staying at the "Y...M...C...A...?"

Okay, I laid her in her bed and she moved herself a full 90 degrees from the original position...she already thinks she's big-holding up her head, rolling to back/tummy from her side, etc.
I'm trying to enjoy every single day!

Lake Greeson

We spent the past weekend at Lake Greeson with our good friends Will and Christy and about 15 of their relatives! We took up 3 campsites including a 5th-wheel (thank you, Edy!) and 2 pop-ups. The husbands (aka "the big boys") spent much of the time fishing while the kids had fun at the playground and the swimming area. Caroline and I hung out in the 5th-wheel or the shade! It really was fun, but next year we are going to the beach!!!
Sweet Caroline!

What a profile!

Madison and John Collier...buds since babies!

No, we do not advocate child abuse...Yes, Caden is about to face-plant, but I promise he came up grinning and saying, "Do it again, Daddy!"

Will and Eric and the delicious striper we ate for dinner...yum!

Circle C Welding, treats at Nan's, and crazy hair

Eric working on a gate-his first official side job under his business, "Circle C Welding"
John Collier is excited about making treats with Nan!

Caden wanted his hair wrapped up like mine after his bath...his Daddy did not approve!

The finished product!

The boys and their delicious and totally fattening treats made with Nan...they didn't last long!

More pictures...

Caroline moved into size 1 diapers yesterday. Here she's modeling her first one!

Okay, this is the best picture I got of our 2 boys with our friends' 3 boys...they came to visit from Baton Rouge. All told, there were 11 kids there. I had the oldest, John Collier-6, and the youngest, Caroline-6 weeks exactly!

Football try-outs at Calvary with buddy, Lake

Caroline loves her Daddy! She has started to smile a lot more in the past week!

A wedding, one tuxedo, 2 stomach bugs, and 9 pounds

About the pictures: Caroline and her Daddy at Clint and Kristen's wedding...he has been making her smile so big! Her eyes are still blue! Caden was the ring bearer, and he did a great job even though the flower girl, his new cousin Skylar, had to be coaxed down the aisle! The other picture is of John Collier that Skylar took...not one of his most flattering, but oh well! Congrats to Clint and Kristen!!!

This has been a fun week...Tuesday I woke up with a raging stomach bug and all that that entails, but still decided to take Caroline to her weight-check appointment. I was relieved to know she weighs a little over 9 pounds now, but here's a tip...don't go to the pediatrician when you, as the parent, are ill. Before the appointment, I had not thrown up. Once we got there, that was a different story. Not easy to throw up while holding a 5-week-old infant. We went home and camped out in my bed for the rest of the day. That leads us to Wednesday, when Eric woke up with the stomach bug. Same song, second verse. By Thursday, we had our fingers crossed that the boys, especially Caden, would not get it...so far, so good! We picked Caden's tux up Friday afternoon, and he could not wait to get it on! He looked so cute...first time in a tux!!! The wedding was great. That brings us to today. We are at our usual Sunday afternoon spot...my parents' house. The boys are swimming with LJ and Marcus and Eric will soon be fishing in the pond...ah, the life! Sure it nice to have a "weekend retreat!" Thanks, Mom and Dad!
